The Secret Garden by Frances Hogson Burnett is a very good book. The main character is Mary, an orphan. She is a new orphan because her parents just died. She is going to stay at her uncle's house that she has never met before. Mary is not very happy at her uncle's house. It is not very fun except when she starts hearing mysterious crying sounds from down the hall and she starts searching for clues for the secret garden then she gets curious.
I think that The Secret Garden was a really good book. It is my favorite book. One of the characters called Dickon was pretty cool because of all the cool things he did; even though he is poor he does not complain. My favorite part was when Dickon and Mary start to work on the garden so that the crying boy can visit.
I recommend this book because it is so interesting. I think it is interesting because of all of the different mysteries. You would like this book if you are a curious person because there are lots of mysteries.
