The Ersatz Elevator

Lemony Snicket's sixth book is an adventure like all the others. The Ersatz Elevator begins with three very unlucky children. The three children are now living in a condo with Esme and Jacques (both of whom are being very suspicious). All through the book the kids will face journeys, like getting stuck in the elevator. What will Count Olaf's sneaky disguise be this time? Will he have any helpers with him?

Lemony Snicket is a great author, because he describes characters and events very well. It is easy for the reader to picture each character. My favorite character is Klause, because he likes to read and I like to read, too. Snicket has written other books before, but this one is the best yet. It is the best because you can't wait to turn to the next page. There is one part when the kids are stuck in the elevator; I couldn't stop reading until I figured out if they would escape or stay stuck inside. My favorite part is when the Bauldelaire children found their two friends. It was my favorite part because they had not seen them in a very long time, and they came to their rescue!

This book is good for 3-6 graders. I recommend this book to anybody who likes adventure and mystery.
