I have just finished reading a book called Number of the Stars by Lois Lowery. It is about two girls who are best friends, named Annemarie Johansen and Ellen Rosen. Ellen is Jewish and the German Soldiers have a list of all the Jewish people and where they live. Therefore Ellen and here family are hiding for their lives. Annemarie learns a decent lesson in this book. The lesson is ?don?t be afraid to be brave.?

I would recommend this book to people who like suspense, cliffhanger and historical fiction books. I thought that this book was interesting because the characters show bravery, loyalty, trust and other true feelings for each other. My favorite part of the book is when Annemarie took the package to Henrik so that the German soldiers didn?t find the Rosen?s. I think everyone deserves freedom.

The thing that happened to Ellen and Annemarie happened to me. I was taken away from my best friend when I was seven years old. I know how it feels to get taken away from someone you can share your deepest secrets. Annemarie did not know what to do when she heard the terrible news. Will Ellen ever get to Sweden to have equal freedom? Will Annemarie ever see Ellen again? Read that book to find out.
