?Why are we called man kind if we are so mean?? This sentence was said in the book ?Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul.? This book was written by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Patty Hansen, and Irene Dunlap.

The book is about all these kids who made something out of nothing. Some of these people grew up to be famous. For instance there are stories from Mia Hamm and Beverly Mitchell. The lessons to learn from this book are wonderful. Even if your problem is big something bigger and better will come out of it if you face your fears head on.

I thought that the book was a really good piece of work that you can sink your teeth into. I really did enjoy the book. My favorite chapter was called ?Backfire?. What I liked the most is that there are no pictures to distract you from what you are reading.

I would recommend this book to all kids that are struggling. It truly did help me. Without this book I would probably be in a great depression.
