Teammates

This story is about a famous athletic ballplayer, Jackie Robinson. Back in the days there were two leagues. The Negro Leagues and the Major Leagues. The Majors were only for whites. After Jackie was drafted to the Dodgers, white people hated him because they knew he was good.

When I read this book I felt very bad for Jackie, because many people treated him awful. I wonder how he felt. I learned not to judge anyone if you don't know them.

Many pictures describe how they treated him. They also show how he played. The pictures look like Jackie himself. I think the pictures look cool, because they show how Jackie played.

My favorite part was when they first let Jackie play for the Major Leagues. I like this story very much because it's about baseball.

I recommend this story to anyone that likes to read. It's a very good book. It has many details. This book did make me wonder about many things. This book is one of a kind. I never read one like it. I think Jackie shouldn't be judge by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.
