Thunder Cake

In the beginning of the book Thunder Cake, it is very rainy and there is thunder. A girl is in her house hiding under the blanket. Her Babushka calls her and says there is nothing to worry about. She tells her that they are going to make thunder cake. And they ran off to get the ingredients!

I liked this book and it is exciting because there is a race to get the ingredients before the thunder hits their place. It teaches a lesson that you should never be afraid. It’s a good cliffhanger because you don’t know if they will succeed.

I recommend this book to people who like exciting cliffhangers. The whole time you are wondering if they will be able to survive the storm with a fresh cake.
