Chicken Sunday

Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do? In this book, Patricia, Stewart and Winston are accused of throwing eggs at Mr. Kodinsky’s shop. Miss Eula wants to buy a hat, but can’t afford it. So the children go to Mr. Kodinsky’s shop to ask to help clean up to earn money to buy the hat. They take a short cut through the alleyway but big boys are there throwing eggs at Mr. Kodinsky’s shop. They run away but Mr.Kodinsky sees the children and he thinks they did it. So they painted pazansky eggs for him. Read on to find out if they will get the hat.

I liked this book because I have a connection. My connection is I have chicken on Sundays too sometimes. My 2nd reason is that it was funny, it was funny when Mr.Kodinsky’s shop got egged. My last reason is it is a good message to tell the truth.

I would recommend this book to anyone who got accused for something they didn’t do.
