“Ow, ow, OW!”shouted The Cat in the Hat. “OW, it hurts when I shut my eyes!"

This book is about The Cat in the Hat and Young Cat. He made Young Cat watch him read with his eyes shut. “I Can Read with My Eyes Shut” is a realistic fiction story. The Cat in the Hat thinks he can read with his eyes closed but he can’t. It is realistic fiction because The Cat in the Hat and Young Cat are not real. I like this book because it rhymes because The Cat in the Hat can whack and do tricks and tack. And Young Cat can whack and tack.

Reading this book reminds me of the time I read a book about owls and I kept my eyes open. My friend, Elijah, likes this book because Dr. Seuss makes a whole bunch of expressions and actions. I would rate the book “I Can Read With My Eyes Shut" {*****} 5 stars because I like Dr. Seuss books and the characters are cool.

I would recommend I Can Read With My Eyes Shut to anyone who likes rhyming books because it really, really, really has a lot of funny rhyming words in it!

If you like silly Dr. Seuss books then you need to read this book! Go to your nearest library and check this book out because you will L-O-V-E, love it because of the great expression and onomatopoeia in it.
