Thank You Mr. Falker

Are You Familiar With Patricia Polocco Books? Well if you are you should definitely read Thank You Mr. Falker. It’s about a girl who struggles with reading and has a teacher named Mr. Falker. She keeps getting bullied by people in her class. On the bright side she’s an amazing drawer!! The lesson of the story is to keep trying and never give up.

I like this book because at the end Trisha learns how to read!! The illustrator Patricia Polocco used a lot of beautiful colors mostly bright ones! When I read this book it made me feel a little sad that the kids were bullying her. My favorite part was when Trisha finally learned to read.

I recommend this book to 3rd to 4th graders because it has some struggling vocabulary and 34 awesome pages!! If you are interested in realistic fiction books you will love this book!!!
