The Missing Piece

Don’t you hate when something is missing and you can’t find it? That’s how the missing piece feels in Shel Silverstein’s book, The Missing Piece. You will fall in love with this little shape as it goes on a journey searching for what it thinks is missing. You’re going to have to read the book to see if it finds what it’s looking for.

I love this book because I like how the main character interacts with other characters. This deep story is told with simple words and illustrations. The character reminds me of myself because I loose things that I care for and I go looking for them.

I think other kids should read this book because it has cool pictures and simple words. A type of reader that would enjoy this book would like this style of writing and simple artwork. This book is enjoyable for children in second and in third grade. I recommend that you should read this book.
