Summer According to Humphrey

Uh oh. It’s just a couple more days until there’s no more school. Is school really ending forever? What’s going to happen to Humphrey and Og? Find out in Summer According to Humphrey. It’s a funny fiction story about Humphrey the hamster and Og the frog.

I found this book very funny. What made it funny was that Humphrey is very curious. For example, I thought that it was funny when Humphrey was trying to figure out what stickers were and he tried to see if any of the kids knew what they were. It still makes me laugh a little. I liked that it was about camp because it reminded me of a black belt retreat that I went on. I also loved the author’s writing style because she makes the book sound very interesting. I feel like she makes Summer According to Humphrey come alive to me making it seem like I was there.

I recommend this book to kids who like funny fiction stories. I think this is a good book for ages seven through thirteen. I hope you like this book. Happy reading!
