Nate the Great is a detective. He searches for clues with his dog Sludge. Sludge is smart and dirty. When Nate the Great found the prize, he didn't realize that he took it home with him. Fang was wagging his tail and he accidently knocked the tuna fish into the grocery bag.

My favorite character is Sludge because he is so smart. I also liked the illustrations. The illustrator colored inside of the lines. This books reminds me of 3rd Grade Detectives books because there is a mystery to solve.

I would recommend this book because it is a great story about a detective at work.
