The School Nurse from the Black Lagoon

People thought the school nurse was an evil monster from the Black Lagoon that did bad things to kids. For example, when a kid was flattened by the VCR cart at school, they thought the school nurse used him for a rug. They thought the school nurse had a surf board for a tongue depressor and if you didn’t pass the hearing test she would use your ears for her jewelry collection. They also thought she had a vaccine needle that was so big that it could poke through six kids at once and that is really scary! One day a boy went to the school nurse and saw that the nurse wasn’t a monster at all. She was just a nice lady and she cured him.

My favorite part is when the little boy went to the nurse because he had blue spots on his hand. The nurse rubbed it with a wet paper towel and she gave the little boy a new pen. I felt scared in the beginning of the book because it said scary stuff was in the nurse’s office and because the nurse looked like a monster. This story reminds me of my life because when I was going to kindergarten my friend said, “your teacher is a monster.” I was scared but when I met her, she was really nice.

I would recommend this book to my friend Diana because she would like the creepy pictures.
