Franklin in the Dark

This book is about a turtle named Franklin who is afraid of the dark. Being afraid of the dark was a problem because Franklin was a turtle and his shell was very dark. Every day Franklin dragged his shell behind him. He thought there were monsters living in his shell. The next day Franklin went looking for help. Then he met a duck. He asked the duck if he could help, but the duck said no. So Franklin asked a lion, but the lion said...You have to read the book to find out what the lion says!

I liked this book because it reminds me of when I was afraid of the dark. Franklin also reminds me of my friend because my friend used to be afraid of the dark, too. My favorite part was when Franklin went for help. The lion is an interesting character because he is afraid of loud noises. I like the illustrations because they are cool.

I highly recommend this book because it is cool and funny. I recommend this awesome book to kids who like turtles because Franklin is a turtle. People who are afraid of the dark will like this book because Franklin is afraid of the dark, too.
