The Tail of Emily Windsnap

Imagine swimming with fish in silky water through a coral cove. This story is about a girl named Emily who lives in a boat with her mother. When she goes to swimming lessons for the first time her legs feel like they are glued together. Right away she feels panic in her heart. Later at night her curiosity gets the best of her. She jumps into the ocean. Again she feels a strange feeling in her legs. She lifts her "feet" out of the water. They feel heavier than normal. What she sees will change her life forever.

I liked Emily Windsnap because some of the characters are mermaids and I love mythical things. This story has a lot of suspenseful action that kept my attention the whole time. It has clues that will let you guess what happens next. This book makes me laugh and cry because it is very touching.

I would recommend this book for girls that are ten years and older.
