The Cricket in Times Square

Once upon a time there was a cricket that was named Chester. The story is all about him. One day there was a boy named Mario who heard something chirping next to his family's newsstand. It was Chester. They ended up being friends. On another day Chester became very popular because he could play all kinds of music. Their lives really changed. Chester decided he didn't like being famous. What will he do? I like this book because it is a chapter book. I have grown up reading chapter books. I like them because they are longer than just plain books. What is special about this book is that it has a lot of action in it, and I like action books. My favorite part was the fire. I had a picture of a real fire in my mind, and that made the story very real to me. I think second graders and third graders will like this book because it's their level. They would also like the story, especially the part where the animals make a plan to get Chester back to Connecticut. That is very exciting.
