Arthur's Reading Race

Arthur learns how to read. Arthur reads everywhere! He reads in the car, in the bed, to his dog, and to D.W. Arthur wants to teach D.W. to read. She says she already knows how. She had to read 10 words to get ice cream. They go for a walk and she reads "zoo". Then she reads "taxi, gas, and milk". Then she reads "don't walk". Next she reads "police, keep off the grass, and bank". Then she reads "ice cream". Then they go to the store and buy ice cream. Then Arthur sits on a bench and gets wet paint on his pants.

I liked this book, because it was funny. My favorite part of the book is when Arthur sits on the bench and gets white paint on his pants. My favorite character is D.W. because she reads lots of words even though Arthur thinks she can't read. I liked the illustrations because they have lots of color.

I think that all kids would like this story because it is funny and because it is about kids.
