In the book Muggie Maggie, Maggie does not want to learn cursive. She thinks printing is just fine. Her teacher and her parents try lots of things to make Maggie want to learn cursive. Two things Maggie?s teacher and parents do to try and get her to learn cursive are take away her computer and make her go see the school counselor. Maggie learns a valuable lesson - you may not be good at your first try. If you want to know what happens read this book.
My opinion about the character Maggie is that she does not like cursive. I did not like cursive when I was little either. I think something special about this book is it helped me understand why cursive is important. I think the character Maggie is interesting because she and I are a lot alike. Neither of us wanted to learn cursive.
I recommend this book to people who like Beverly Cleary books. Her books have enjoyable adventures in them.
