Written by Lois Lowry

I just finished reading Number the Stars by Louis Lowry. It is a book about World War Two, when the Nazis were taking over and also when Annemarie, a girl from Copenhagen, tries to hide her Jewish friend Ellen, from the Nazis. Along the way they run into some thrilling times when facing the Nazi soldiers.

I thought the book was exciting and suspenseful because it was the time period when the Nazis were taking over. I also felt sorry towards Annemarie and the other characters. It made me wonder what I would do if I were away from my home and family trying to find freedom. I thought the loyalty and friendship between Annemarie and Ellen were was the most important thing in this story.

I recommend this book because it is very exciting and suspenseful. I think brave or adventurous readers would like this book. I think brave or adventurous readers would like this book. I think the writing style would interest the reader because she writes with a lot of detail.
