Molly's Pilgrim

Molly had to make a Pilgrim for school for Thanksgiving. When she got home she asked her mom to make the Pilgrim. In the morning Molly said her Pilgrim looked beautiful but she really didn't like it because it didn't look like the pictures of Pilgrims in her book. Instead it looked like a picture of her mother when she was little before she came to America. Her mother made it that way because she was a Pilgrim herself and came to America so that she could worship God in her own way. Molly's teacher said the Pilgrim looked beautiful and that it was a reminder that Pilgrims were still coming to America.

My favorite part of the story is when Molly showed her Pilgrim to her teacher because it made her happy that her teacher understood that Momma was a Pilgrim too. This story reminds me of first grade because people made fun of me like the girls in the story made fun of Molly because she was different. I was happy at the end of the story because Molly was happy too and had finally begun to make some friends.

I think others should read this book because it tells about friendship and Thanksgiving.
