Going Home

This story is about a family that went home to Mexico. They were living in America because the parents wanted a better life for their children and because they wanted more opportunities. The parents had to work really hard and the children had to work too. They worked on a farm.

It was a long ride back to Mexico for their visit and it took a few days. The children kept saying, "are we there yet?" Dogs were chasing the car when they arrived. Grandpa and Aunt Ana were happy to see them and they had a big dinner.

The mother and father were very happy to go back to Mexico and when they got there they could relax. The mother's shoulders were not sore any more and the father forgot about his bad knees. The children realized that the parents missed their home in Mexico but worked in America to give them a better life.

I liked this book because the parents cared more about the family then about themselves. It shows they really loved their children. I think people should read this book because it shows that it is important to care about each other. I also liked the pictures in the book.
