My Rotten Red-Headed Older Brother is a funny book about the author, Patricia Polacco and her brother, Richard, growing up together in Michigan. The book tells about Richard being better than Patricia at many things. All Patricia really wants is to be better at one thing. They try competing in different situations, but Patricia always comes in second! Read this book to see how their relationship changes from the beginning to the end of the book.
I like this book because it reminds me of my brother and me. We fight a lot! I like the funny parts when Patricia’s brother tricks her. Reading this book inspired me to read more books by Patricia Polacco. I like how she writes about her family in many books.
I recommend this book to kids who are 8 years old and up because they would understand them really well. I’d also recommend this book to anyone who has an annoying brother like me. They would be able to make connections.
