Fiona's Lace

Fiona is a girl who wants to make beautiful lace, but there was a fire. Fiona and her little sister, Ailish, had to run out of the house. She grabbed the lace and scissors. She cut the lace to make a trail for their mom and dad. Will the idea work? Will the mom and dad find Fiona and Ailish?

I thought that Fiona was very brave when the fire came near their house. I am very brave too. If there was a fire near my house, I would also run and leave a trail for my parents. My favorite part of the story was when Fiona and Ailish had to run out of the house to get away from the fire. I like this part because I like how Patricia illustrated the girls running to get away from the fire. It made me more cautious of when I am near stuff that can catch on fire.

I would recommend this book to people who like non-fiction stories about another person's life. I would recommend this book because it has attractive and beautiful illustrations. This book would be great for people who like beautiful illustrations.
