A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning

The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket and illustrated by Brett Helquist is very good. In the beginning, three orphans, Violet, Klaus and the baby sunny went to the beach and a few min. later they realized that their house has been burned down. Next, a person named Mr. Poe had told them that and said they will stay at his house for one day and then be driven to a relative named Count Olaf. Then, a day later they went to a house and on the door there was an eye. The door opened and there was, Count Olaf. After that, the three orphans had a hard life and then were in a play to marry count Olaf. They realized that it was real! In the end it had all gone fine but Violet had signed the contract with not her real hand so she did not really marry Count Olaf! Find out what happens NEXT!

In my opinion, The Bad beginning by Lemony Snicket is a book that has a lot of feelings. Some feelings are happy, sad, and sometimes funny. One reason is risky because Violet makes a grappling hook to get sunny. Another reason is that they go to a marriage and has to fake it somehow. My last reason is that Count Olaf escaped in a risky way but the bad part about it is that does not tell you how! I recommend this book to people that like scary stories.

If you like sad stories and sad finishes I think you should read this book, The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket. I think you should this book if you are 8, 9, or 10. I rate this book 4 and a half stars because it was standing but I think it was a little too joyless. I think you should read this book if you are in grades 3, 4, and 5. I think this book was standing and I think you should read it too!
