Stink and the Shark Sleepover

Have you ever met the funniest kid in the world? You haven’t? Then you should read Stink and the Shark Sleepover, by Megan McDonald. Your eyes will pop out, it’s so good! Go now and snatch it from the library before it’s too late!

In this book, Stink’s family wins tickets to sleepover at the aquarium. Stink also gets to bring two of his friends to the aquarium. At the aquarium they do a scavenger hunt. They have a light show. Before bed, Stink and his friend have creepy campfire stories. The stories creep Stink out! Stink has trouble falling asleep. Read more to find out if Stink is too scared to fall asleep or if he can fall asleep.

My favorite part is when Stink wonders where Bloody Mary lived. Bloody Mary is a creepy, glowing Frankensquid who haunts the aquarium. He searched the room for the squid, but didn’t see her. It was hilarious because when Judy turned the light on there was nothing there. Bloody Mary was just a made up story. It wasn't real. I also liked how Stink loves to pull pranks on Judy everyday. This hooked me into reading the book. It is cool that Stink is a series because when you finish one Stink book, it's not the last one you'll ever read.

I recommend this book to second and third grade boys and girls. If you like funny kids, you should read Stink and the Shark Sleepover by Megan McDonald.
