I Survived: Hurricane Katrina

Splash! I read the exciting book I Survived Hurricane Katrina 2005 by Lauren Tarshis.

To begin with, the main character Barry is trying to survive Hurricane Katrina through many steps. First, his house floods because of the hurricane. Then, he gets swept away! Next, his family calls out but it’s too late. Many houses are damaged around him and he is very scared. Lastly, he sees a dog out of nowhere. Barry and the dog work together to find a way to survive.

In addition, this book really made me feel suspenseful. I felt suspense because, in the book it kept switching from destination to destination and you wait thinking what’s going to happen next. Another thing is that this book is a part of a series. The series has other books like The Sinking of the Titanic, The Battle of Gettyspurg and many more. I like reading all of the books in this series! Also this book has a lot of action and adventure. This is because of the danger of the hurricane.

In conclusion, I would recommend this book to people who like adventure and suspense, and people of all ages. Try out the I Survived series as soon as possible!
