Ruby the Copycat

Ruby the Copycat by Peggy Rathman is about a girl named Ruby that copied a girl named Angela. For the whole week Ruby was copying Angela. Even the first day of school, Ruby started to copy Angela. For example, when Miss Hart said, "Does anyone have anything to share from the weekend?" Angela raised her hand and said, "I was a flower girl at my sister's wedding." Ruby then raised her hand and said, "I was a flower girl at my sister's wedding too!"

I liked Ruby the Copycat because it teaches a lesson that people don't want other people to copy them. And people probably don't want the exact twin that does the same exact thing and says the same exact thing as they do. I know someone who copied me and I got VERY, VERY, VERY frustrated! So I know how Angela feels!

I recommend this book to kids ages four to ten. Parents should read this book with their kids so they can understand what the story is about. If your child has a question, parents can answer it. I give this book four stars because you can really feel the emotions of the characters when you read Ruby the Copycat.
