Winter of the Red Snow

This book is a diary that a girl wrote during the Revolutionary War. The diary belongs to Abigail Jane Stewart. She has four sisters. She is waiting for her father to return. He has been gone for a long time. He was training soldiers for the war. Her little baby sister has gotten very sick because it was a very cold winter in January. Abigail has a friend named Lucy that has run away and she knows where she is but she can't tell a soul. In this story, Abigail met Mr. and Mrs. George Washington. This book is like another book I read, "A Journey to a New World" because they are both diaries of girls that lived a long time ago. The big idea of this story is that Abigail has a hard life living like that when she was a kid.

My opinion of this book is that it is a good book to read if you really like to read a long book. I would recommend this book to others because if you want to read about a person's life long ago, you should read it. I would also recommend this book because it is exciting because it feels like you're there. The author puts in the book what it's like each day in Abigail's life. Also, it is about a part of history.
