The Hat

This book is about a hedgehog named Hedgie who gets a stocking stuck on his head, and all the farm animals make fun of him. It takes place on a farm. In the beginning, Lisa puts all of her clothes on a clothesline. Her stocking falls off the line, and Hedgie sees it and it gets stuck on his head. Then, Hedgie goes around the farm and tells the animals that the stocking on his head is a hat for when the strong winds blow. At the end, Lisa sees that Hedgie has her stocking. Then all the animals think that it is a good idea to wear a hat and then Hedgie starts to kind of make fun of all the farm animals wearing the hats.

I enjoyed this book because Hedgie puts on a hat and looks kind of funny and at the end the animals don't make fun of Hedgie anymore. Nobody likes to be made fun of. The pictures are really pretty and cute. I also like the extra pictures on the sides, it makes you look harder, like a puzzle.

I would recommend this book to people who like animals and people who are from first grade and up. People who like funny stories would also enjoy it because there are animals in it and it's a funny story.
