I just finished reading an amazing book called Anne Frank?s Diary by Anne Frank. This book is about Anne being courageous and fighting for her life in a place called the Secret Annex. The Secret Annex is like an attic that was secretly behind a bookcase. The Annex was built in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Van Peels. Anne?s family was hiding the Annex because of a cruel man named Adolf Hitler. This man was cruel because he sent the Nazi solders to Germany and the solders went on a rampage burning and smashing Jewish- owned shops and synagogues. The night the solders did this was called ?Kristallnacht? which means Crystal Night or Night of the Broken Glass.

I think the book was very fascinating. I thought this book was very interesting because even though there was not a lot of room and it was hot in the Annex they still managed to get by without trying to find a roomier place to hide. I like this book because it?s about a true story about a really courageous young girl. There was a character that changed in some way. That character was Anne Frank. The way she changed was from an immature little girl to a mature young adult with feelings for boys.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes true stories and to anyone who likes Anne Frank. Do you think Anne, her family and the other families that were hiding with them got caught? Do you think that Anne and her family escaped?
