The Keeping Quilt

Patricia’s family moved to America from Russia. “We will make a quilt to remind us in back home Russia,” Anna’s mother said and they did. The quilt was used for many things like welcoming new babies, wedding hupas and table cloths. Patricia used it for her imagination when she was a little girl. Read the book to find more about the quilt.

My three favorite things about this book are the illustrations. They are very detailed and realistic. My second favorite reason is all the interesting details and how she captures her readers. My last and third favorite part about this book is how she describes things she writes about. Two detailed examples are the cake for her Grandma’s nighty-eighth birthday and what they made the animals and the border of the quilt out of. These are reasons why I like this book.

I recommend this book to people who admire Patricia polacco books. I would recommend this book to all ages because her books are really nice. This book would be great if you have nothing to do or a bedtime story. This is why I recommend my readers to read the keeping quilt!
