In the book, Scaredy Squirrel, by Melanie Watt does not want to go into he unknown. He wants to stay in his safe nut tree. Then one day, a killer bee came by. He jumped to get his safety kit. Read to find out what Scaredy Squirrel discovers about himself.
You will love Scaredy Squirrel! Scaredy will make you laugh out loud. For example, Scaredy Squirrel is afraid of green martians, germs, killer bees, sharks, poison ivy, and tarantulas. It is also funny when Melanie Watt wrote about Scaredy Squirrel’s routine. He does the same things over and over: eat a nut, look at view, eat a nut, look at view. I think Melanie Watt is super clever. At the very, very beginning of the book, she wrote, "Here's the story, in a nutshell." I also like how Melanie Watt teaches the reader to try things even if they're hard or scary and you're afraid. Scaredy Squirrel learned that it's not so bad to go into the unknown.
My favorite part is when Scaredy landed in a bush. In this part he accidentally drops his safety kit out of his tree because a killer bee came by. Scaredy Squirrel jumps to get the kit and he lands in a bush. He discovers something very surprising about himself.
I think you should read Scaredy Squirrel, by Melanie Watt. I recommend this book to kids and adults all over the world. WAIT! Do you know what you're doing after school or work? It’s reading Scaredy Squirrel. You will enjoy it! I promise!
