Sister Magic - The Trouble with Violet

This magical book is about an eight-year-old girl named Mable who is very neat and tidy and her little sister, Violet, who is messy. One day they get a package from their Uncle Vantan that appears on their door step. What is in the package? A couple days later Uncle Vantan appears their door step. Why is he there? Something weird is going on. Will Mable be able to figure it out? Read this magical book to find out.

I like this book because the pictures really show what is going on. They show the characters and what they are doing. And that helps me understand what is going on. This book relates to me because I have a big sister who is very neat and tidy just like Mable. And Mable is neat and tidy like my sister. I know Mable is neat and tidy because she is always making lists, so that means she is neat and tidy. This book also relates to me because once my friend played with my little sister when she was on a play date with me. It relates to me because in the book Mable’s friend plays with Violet instead of Mable. This same thing happened to me.

I recommend this book to girls who like fiction and magic. For example there is a little touch of magic in Violet, one of the main characters. I also recommend this book to 8 and 9 year old girls who have a little sister like Mable.
