The Center for Children's Books - An extensive resource of book awards in a variety of categories, including: genre, interest, culture and region.
Caldecott Medal & Honor Books - Winners of the American Library Association's annual award given to the best illustrated children's book. Winners and Honor Books from 1938-present. (2015 winners and honors)
The Children's Book Review - Brief reviews of books in many different categories and genres.
Children's Choice Book Award - Every year, children in selected states vote on their favorite books. Winning books from each state are listed. Children's Choice is a project cosponsored by IRA (International Reading Association and the Children's Book Council.)
Coretta Scott King Award - "Outstanding African American authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults that demonstrate an appreciation of African American culture and universal human values." (2015 winners).
Ezra Jack Keats Book Award - New Writer Awards and New Illustrator Awards to recognize and encourage new authors and illustrators starting out in the field of children’s books. (2015 winners).
Newberry Medal Honor Books - Winners of the American Library Association's annual award to the most distinguished children's book of the year. (2015 winners)

American Library Association - Best Books for Young Adults
Best Books for Tweens/Teens - This page has links to award winning books and many "best of" lists for young adult books in categories including: reluctant readers, graphic novels, non-fiction, popular paperbacks and audiobooks. Adlit is a great resource for parents and educators of kids in grades 4-12, providing information on reading, writing, hot topics in adolescent literacy and information on the Common Core Classroom.
